Illustrator & pattern designer

I am a Dutch surface pattern designer and illustrator. Me and my soon to be husband are building a dreamhouse in Belgium just across the border of the southern Netherlands. My office is situated in Eindhoven, ‘Holland’s city of design’. But on most days, you can find me in my atelier at home.

My work is characterized by surprising color combinations, figurative illustrations, prints and pattern designs. I like working with a combination of materials, the designs come to life by the use of paint, fineliners, pencils, ecoline and gouache.

When I’m not in my studio, I like traveling and exploring different countries, visit markets and art shops, enjoy the local food, drink a cup of coffee and walk through nice alleys in a trendy neighborhood. These things inspire me to create new designs, translated into a storytelling pattern or illustration. With all the things I create, I try to keep close to my own authenticity, and not lose the handmade and playful touch.
